The first thank you letter below is from Amy McGowen, Director of Development for a $375 Sponsorship of the Greater Fox Cities Area Habitat for Humanity Youth Build. We sponsor materials for high school students from Appleton West to participate in a course where they learn construction skills while helping to build a Habitat for Humanity home in the Appleton area. We support this program because it provides housing for a deserving family while at the same time encourages young people to consider a career in the construction trades. Community support for homes and workforce development are two our focus areas as an organization.
This year, we also awarded (3) Fox Valley Technical College scholarships to high school seniors who enrolled in 1. Interior Design, 2. Residential Construction and 3. Wood Manufacturing Technology (woodworking) for the Fall 2023 semester. The students are selected by the FVTC Foundation.
Altogether, more than $1,000 was donated by NARI of North East Wisconsin.
The second letter below is from House of Hope, a homeless shelter for youth and young families in Brown County. Our first ever NEW NARI Flannel Fest, hosted by ERC Counselors & Consultants, raised $1,265 in cash for the shelter at a critical time of need (the holidays) and over 82 personal hygiene items were also donated. This thank you letter was received from Beth Hudak, Director of Community Engagement who was one of the speakers that night on November 15, 2023.
