On Thursday, Nov. 2, NEW NARI Executive Director Cheryl Kaczmarek participated in “Product Pitch,” a presentation/salesmanship class offered to Interior Design students at Fox Valley Technical College (FVTC). Sixteen Internship students had the opportunity to meet with several industry employers and “pitch” one of the products their intern company sells.
Products included floor tiles, faucets, acoustic tiles, furniture, cabinetry, hardware, airplane leather upholstery, and so much more! Industry experts critiqued 3-6 students on their appearance, product knowledge, presentation, professionalism, sales materials and salesmanship. Students were able to get experience as well as tips on how to improve their skills.
