Kimberly business Timber Innovations LLC received a mural this fall in partnership with the Imagine Fox Cities Summer of Belonging Mural Program presented by the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region. The artist, Elyse-Krista Mische, shared the vision of the mural entitled Tributary: A Commingling of Past, Present, & Future.
“This mural came together through collaboration with Fox Cities locals alongside a shared goal to symbolize belonging by honoring the past, celebrating the present, and striving to build a better future. We tribute the Menominee Nation and other indigenous people who shared this land. We thank the men and women paper mill workers who fueled this town. We remember people and places that are no longer here. We join in the joys of those that are nearby. And we continue to paint a picture of a community that welcomes others with open arms and minds.”
Thank you to the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region for supporting the arts in the Fox Cities and furthering the message of belonging in the Fox Cities. Thank you to Elyse-Krista for sharing your talents and bringing your art to Kimberly. Thank you to Timber Innovations for offering your wall to host this amazing piece!
