Chilton Rock the Block
Rock the Block brings together residents, municipalities, and community partners to complete exterior home repairs for low-income homeowners and to improve common shared areas such as local parks and trails. These projects improve and beautify neighborhoods, increase property values, and have a ripple effect on all homes in targeted neighborhoods.
The event is happening Thursday, May 11 through noon Saturday May 13. Plans include utilizing volunteers to help with residential and community projects. We are looking forward to being in your community and would be honored and grateful to involve your team. Together we can work to “rock” this neighborhood and know that our efforts will have long-term impact.
We plan to meet each day between 7:30-7:45am at the Community Center inside City Hall, where everyone will receive instructions and then move to the projects. All projects are outdoors, and tasks include landscape cleanup, park clean up, mulching, painting, staining, and other general maintenance. Lunch will be provided Thursday & Friday at noon.
We have volunteer needs for the following shifts:
- Thursday, May 11: 7:45 am – 12:00 pm & 11:45 am – 4:00 pm
- Friday, May 12: 7:45 am – 12:00 pm & 11:45 am – 4:00 pm
- Saturday, May 13: 7:45 am – Noon
