A note for the President and CEO of The Fox Cities Habitat for Humanity honoring the late President Jimmy Carter.

Today, on this National Day of Mourning, we at Fox Cities Habitat want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible life and legacy of President Jimmy Carter. As we honor him during his funeral proceedings in Washington, D.C., our President & CEO here at Fox Cities Habitat, John Weyenberg, shares his heartfelt admiration on what President Carter has meant to Habitat for Humanity and the mission we all hold dear.

“I want to take a moment to show my appreciation for the remarkable impact he has had as a humanitarian. President Carter is widely recognized as one of our strongest advocates in the fight for all to have access to safe, decent, and affordable homes.

Over the past 30 years, Carter Work Projects across the world have been responsible for the building and renovating of 4,447 homes, engaging 108,100 volunteers across 14 countries. President Carter’s work and vision continue to inspire us. His legacy will live on through the encouragement and hope he has gifted to each of us as we strive to ensure that every family has a safe place to call home.

I am deeply grateful for the dedication that President Carter has demonstrated, and we will continue to do this meaningful work in his honor. Thank you for being part of this mission and for embodying the values that President Carter championed throughout his life. Together, we carry forward his vision of a better future for all.”

With gratitude,
John Weyenberg
