Workforce Development Night

NEW NARI, in collaboration with ReStore It and Fox Valley Technical College (FVTC), is thrilled to unveil an exciting community partnership event. The initiative involves FVTC’s Interior Design program students immersing themselves in the ethos of Habitat for Humanity and ReStore’s dedication to community service.

Under the guidance of ReStore manager JD Gildemeister, the Fundamentals of Design students delved into the history and mission of Habitat for Humanity, as well as ReStore’s integral role in community empowerment.

As part of their coursework, students embarked on a unique project dubbed “ReStore It,” wherein they select items from ReStore and transform them into refurbished pieces. These creations will be showcased at ReStore on Tuesday, April 16th, in a silent auction open to the public. All proceeds will be channeled towards Habitat for Humanity’s noble cause.

On the evening of April 18th, attendees will have the opportunity to admire the students’ revitalized pieces, explore ReStore, indulge in snacks and refreshments, and engage with presentations from Habitat for Humanity/ReStore, NEW NARI, and FVTC’s Interior Design and Construction Programs. Additionally, NEW NARI and FVTC construction programs will be presenting scholarships to deserving students. This event promises to be a vibrant celebration of creativity, community, and collaboration.

Further details about this public event will be communicated via ReStore’s website, social media platforms, and the upcoming edition of Habitat Happenings.
